So the world ends…
In the Wake is a one-act musical based on the Norse myth of what happened after Ragnarok, or, the end of the world(s).
Emerging from within Yggdrasil, the tree of life and of the Nine Worlds, Lif and Levi find themselves in a bind: They appear to be the only humans who survived the war between gods and monsters and mortals alike.
Within the span of about a month, almost 15 writers contributed to the book, lyrics, and music of this show. After a brief editing and revision period, actors learned and filmed the show in just three days in a studio in NYC.
The edited product of this original version is available to watch (for free!) on our YouTube channel.
But that can’t be THE end, right?
What’s next?
In February 2026, a revised was performed at the Green Room 42 with a slightly larger cast, featuring Kayla Moore, Raúl Calderón, Ian Allred, Alex Mika, Rachel Roth, and Jeremiah Burch.
The band was just a few instruments: Miles Messier (Piano), Amanda Lee Morrill (Drums), and Braiden Lee (Guitar).
The show’s supervisors, Miles Messier and Alex Mika, continue to develop the piece for a fully-realized production.
